The Digital Strategist will partner with the VP, Group Account Director to set the strategic tone for this beverage/spirit client and is responsible for all aspects of the planning, implementation and tracking of their online campaigns. In addition to their core account assignments, the Digital Strategist is expected to take part in larger areas of agency development – aiding with new business pitches, committees and task forces.



Media Planning and Execution:

  • Lead the process and work with senior team members to set digital program planning and negotiation strategies
  • Write front end (digital strategies and objectives) of plans and present in collaboration with traditional planning team to client
  • Develop digital “road map,” which prioritizes innovation opportunities and take leadership role in delivering against these priorities
  • Manage all reporting deliverables across performance media campaigns
  • Understand and adopt new techniques and technologies that are relevant for clients’ digital media strategies
  • Oversee plan negotiations
  • Ensure constant communication between the Dentsu Aegis Network and various creative agencies and external partners
  • Develop and maintain time-lines for all projects
  • Balance, prioritize and properly assign work associated with multiple, concurrent projects


Client & Internal Relationships:

  • Maintain client relationships
  • Grow business opportunities within current clients as appropriate
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all elements of the brand and specifically its strategic target and prime prospects
  • Identify opportunities to offer agency service line offerings to existing clients
  • Lead face to face client and vendor meetings
  • Participates and presents in New Business efforts and presentations, where appropriate



The Digital Strategist is expected to be have a solid understanding of the digital media space.  A strong foundation of programmatic media including – DSP/DMP/SSP will be key for success in this role.


In addition, qualified candidates will possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study
  • 3-5 years experience; experience in CPG and or Food/Beverage/Alcohol preferred 
  • Strong client service experience
  • Success with creating and selling media programs
  • Ability to articulate strategic foundation for their development
  • Balanced ability to perform analytically and creatively
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Tech and/or B2B experience would be a valuable asset
